Soundtrack

Woke Up Alive features a unique collection of music that distinctly
reflects the people and places in the film. You can preview some
of these songs using the audio player below (requires flash).

While the soundtrack isn’t for sale on its own, the official websites
for all the bands who contributed songs are listed below so that
you can download the music directly from the people who made it.
All but one of these acts are Israeli and each is made up of characters
who, in one way or another, helped and inspired the filmmakers
along the way.

Digital Samsara

Digital Samsara

Digital Samsara is the main contributor to the soundtrack, performing nearly a dozen songs that keep Woke Up Alive strong from start to finish. When front man Ben-Canar handed the filmmakers his CD in a café in Israel to use in the film, no one imagined the gift that was just given to them. Their blend of mystical, ambient, chill-out music is so revolutionary, it’s hard to define.

Zvoov In Groove

Zvoov In Groove

Zvoov In Groove is the quintessential English-singing Israeli party band. If it’s been a long time since you’ve heard five-part harmonies being pulled off in a pop band, you’ll be blown away. For the filmmakers, Zvoov In Groove helped define Tel Aviv.
